WaveX, the startup accelerator under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with T-Hub, which is the world’s largest startup hub. The collaboration aims on strengthening India’s AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality) startup ecosystem by fostering innovation, mentorship, and global market access, leading to a major step toward shaping India’s media-technology future.
The CEOs of WaveX and T-Hub signed and exchanged the MoU in the presence of Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and Sanjay Kumar, Special Chief Secretary, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Department, Government of Telangana.

Driving India’s Creative & Immersive Tech Economy
Sanjay Jaju stated, “India’s AVGC-XR sector is emerging as one of the fastest-growing segments within the creative economy (…) WaveX has been envisioned as a national accelerator platform to nurture innovation, empower creators, and transform India into a global hub for creative entrepreneurship.”
Sanjay Kumar highlighted that the partnership will establish a structured nationwide ecosystem to support creative startups and individuals. This major step will help local creators and innovators evolve into scalable enterprises capable of competing on the global stage.
10 Innovation Hubs
WaveX will setup 10 innovation and incubation hubs across India with T-Hub as the anchor institution. These centres will provide early -stage and growth -stage startups with mentorship, incubation, infrastructure, and investor connections. The initiative seeks to empower emerging creators and entrepreneurs in the media-tech, entertainment, and immersive reality domains, connecting them to investors, industry leaders, and global opportunities.
