NVIDIA and South Korean memory chipmaker SK Hynix have entered into a multi-year technology partnership to develop next-generation memory solutions for AI factories.
The pact also includes expansion plans for the supply chain and support for global artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.

Partnership Focuses on Next-Generation AI Infrastructure
Under the agreement, Nvidia and SK Hynix will jointly develop advanced memory technologies aligned with Nvidia’s future AI computing roadmap. The partnership is expected to support growing demand from AI data centres, large-scale AI training systems and emerging AI applications.
The companies said the collaboration will extend beyond traditional data centre deployments and cover future computing segments, including personal AI devices and robotics.
SK Hynix will also work with Nvidia on memory technologies designed for upcoming AI systems and computing platforms.
The deal comes at a time when demand for high-performance memory is rising while rapid investments in AI infrastructure worldwide are increasing.

AI to Play Bigger Role in Chip Design and Manufacturing
Beyond memory development, the partnership will focus on applying AI tools to semiconductor design and manufacturing processes.
SK Hynix plans to use Nvidia’s AI technologies to accelerate simulation, engineering and production workflows while expanding the use of digital factory systems.
The companies further plan to advance digital twin capabilities for semiconductor manufacturing facilities, enabling real-time monitoring and optimisation of production operations.
The move reflects a broader industry trend of integrating AI across chip development and factory management to improve efficiency and scale production.
The agreement further strengthens Nvidia’s relationship with SK Hynix, one of its key memory suppliers, as both companies seek to support the accelerating global buildout of AI infrastructure and data centres.
