A fresh initiative is gearing up to reshape India’s logistics sector. Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, launched the Logistics Excellence, Advancement, and Performance Shield (LEAPS) 2025 during the 4th anniversary event of PM GatiShakti at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. LEAPS, steered by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), aims to set new standards in logistics and align with the goals of the National Logistics Policy.
Awarding Leadership and Innovation Across Sectors
LEAPS 2025 aims to spotlight industry leaders, innovators, and trailblazers from across the logistics spectrum. The awards honor excellence in air, road, maritime, and rail freight. Sustainability and social responsibility will take center stage as India aims for greener logistics. LEAPS 2025 places emphasis on ESG practices and green logistics. The program encourages cooperation among government bodies, private industry, and academic institutions. The goal is to improve transparency and resilience, while enhancing operational efficiency.
