New leadership under Michael Moebius aims for supply chain excellence at Daimler India
With three decades of experience, Michael Moebius is set to elevate Daimler India's supply chain operations.

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, has appointed Michael Moebius as the new President and Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer. Moebius succeeds Muthu Maruthachalam C, bringing over three decades of global experience in the passenger and commercial vehicle industry.

Moebius previously held the position of Head of Quality Management at Daimler Truck Asia in Japan. In this role, he led quality improvement initiatives for brands such as Mitsubishi Fuso and DICV. His accomplishments include reducing warranty costs and implementing advanced data solutions like 'Proactive Sensing' for early detection of potential failures.

Moebius started his career with Daimler in 1990 and has held roles in Brazil, Iran, India, Vietnam, and Japan. From 2010 to 2016, he played a pivotal role at DICV, establishing quality standards and enhancing processes. 

Satyakam Arya, MD and CEO of DICV praised Moebius’s “profound understanding’ of operations and international expertise, stating that it fits with DICV’s strategic goal for a flexible and competitive supply chain. “I am confident that under his leadership, we will build a more agile, efficient, and competitive supply chain positioning DICV to meet the evolving demands of the market with greater resilience and agility.” 

Moebius expressed excitement about enhancing its long-term goals, improving its procurement strategies, and pushing innovation forward.
