Homegrown smartphone maker Lava International is preparing to enter the United Kingdom in the first quarter of 2026, marking its first foray into Europe and a significant step in its plan to take its Made-in-India Agni lineup to global markets.
The expansion builds on strong momentum in India, where the Agni series has become one of the fastest-growing smartphone lines in the country. Company data shows the portfolio has been posting year-on-year growth of 70–80 percent. Lava is also counted among the top three fastest-growing brands overall and continues to gain ground in the sub-Rs 15,000 segment, according to Counterpoint Research.

First Major Overseas Market
For Lava, the UK will be the first major overseas market under its refreshed global strategy. The company has previously operated in the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, but scaled back in those regions over the years to concentrate on strengthening its position in India.
Today, Lava sells smartphones domestically and exports to neighbouring countries such as Nepal and Bangladesh. The brand already holds an estimated 25–30 percent share in Nepal and around 10 percent in Bangladesh.
