CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd and the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance social service initiatives across the country. The ceremony, held at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi, underscores a shared commitment to welfare and inclusion.

Welfare schemes for financial security

The partnership focuses on facilitating registrations under various government welfare schemes, including the National Pension System (NPS), Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Scheme, Lakhpati Didi & Digi Sakhi Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. Camps organized jointly by CSC SPV and CAIT will ensure that traders and citizens gain direct access to these benefits.

Digital backbone for inclusive growth

CSC SPV, a cornerstone of the Digital India Mission, operates nearly 6 lakh Common Service Centres (CSCs) nationwide, delivering government services to remote regions. By collaborating with CAIT, which represents over 9 crore traders across 48,000 trade federations and associations, the initiative aims to address the socio-economic challenges faced by small traders and enhance their economic contributions.

Enabling grassroots change

Leaders from CAIT, including National President B C Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal, lauded the MoU’s role in empowering grassroots traders with vital schemes like pensions and entrepreneurial support. National Joint General Secretary Suresh Sonthalia emphasized the transformative impact of merging CSC’s digital reach with CAIT’s vast network.

Commitment to uplifting local communities

Sanjay Rakesh, Managing Director and CEO of CSC e-Governance, highlighted the organization’s mission to transform lives by providing seamless access to government services, especially in rural and underserved areas. He affirmed CSC's dedication to advancing digital and financial inclusion.

Unified vision for a prosperous future

The MoU signing event saw participation from senior officials, CAIT representatives, and dignitaries who reiterated their shared vision of fostering financial security and empowerment for India’s trading community through technology-driven initiatives.
