IBM Launches Its New Gen AI Model, Granite 3.0
IBM captures 2% of the Global Gen-AI market and plans to expand its feet with a team of approximately 1000 trained consultants.

IBM got its latest Gen-AI model for business released on Monday with an intent to capitalize on the growing demands of generative AI in enterprises. 

Granite 3.0


Grnite 3.0 will be an open-source AI model, unlike the AI models of its competitors like Microsoft and others. Instead, IBM offers a paid tool named Watsonx to run models inside data centers after they have been customized. 

Availability 


Some versions of the new Granite model are available on the Watsonx platform for commercial use as it launched on Monday while a few of these models will be available on Nvidia’s stack of software tools enabling integration of AI by businesses.

Generative AI, or generative artificial intelligence, is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that creates new content based on data it has been trained on. Open AI’s ChatGPT is one of the prominent examples of generative AI.

The rest of the market remains scattered as businesses/enterprises buckle up to adopt AI in their plans and practices.
